F1 summer break

 As the summer break is nearly done here is some things that have happened since the last race.

 Monday July 29th Carlos Sainz signs with Williams. This means Logan is out of his seat unfortunately I like Logan way more than Carlos.

Tuesday 30th July 

Apparently Redbull were going to replace Sergio with Daniel in the summer break that's why we saw all the stuff with Max and Daniel but liberty Media stepped in and stopped them from doing that as they want the money the Mexican fans bring in. But this same thing happened when Pierre raced for red bull they said they were keeping home but then two weeks later he was gone.

Thursday 1st August 

Red Bull Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley to leave the team to become Team Principal of the Audi F1 project.

Wednesday 7th August 

Kym illman posted on insta then quickly deleted a post saying that Jack doohan has signed for Alpine next year. So we might see an official announcement soon  it seems that Alpine cannot have a normal contract announcement. Also to add to the Danny ric stuff the official website for the dutch grand prix says that he is Max's teammate so Redbull were definitely going to have him replace checo during summer break but were stopped. Also to add on to the Carlos to Williams stuff the stuff James vowels is saying is getting insane at this point, I mean James wife is questioning his and Carlos relationship ffs. He keeps going on about how close they are and how they spent nights in hotels with each other like wtf, it's kind of like how apparently George stayed overnight at Toto's house at the beginning of the year when lewis went to tell Toto he was going to Ferrari but I'm pretty sure that's just a rumor. The stuff about Carlos though James has been saying in interviews.

Sunday August 18th

A few days ago F1 have started sending cease and desist letters to any F1 creators like people on TikTok and you tube that have F1 or Formula 1 in their names so many are now having to completely change their names.These creators are the reason many people have gotten into F1 in the past few years. They are making more and more difficult to become a fan of the sport because of things like this and the ever increasing ticket prices, it's like they are trying to stop people from finding out about the sport.

Esteban ocon has officially signed a multi year contract with Haas becoming teammates with Ollie bearman.

Friday 26th July 

Max has a 10 place grid penalty for the race. Alpines team principal is leaving in August they said they would announce who is replacing him soon.

Saturday 27th July 

Qualifying 

Q1-rain is being predicted by McLaren but the other teams are not saying anything about rain. Hulkenberg, magnussen,Tsunoda, Sargent and Zhou are eliminated.

Q2- 8 mins to go and nothing is happening no rain I think and the track is drying up. 6:20 left and someone is reporting rain. Albon, Gasly, Ricciardo, bottas and stroll eliminated.

Q3- because verstappen has that ten place penalty Charles leclerc is on pole position for the race.

Sunday 28th July 

Race day

Lap 2 and Max who started 11th is up to 8th.

lap 3 lewis takes the lead. 

Lap 7 Zhou is out of the race. 

Lap 12 leclerc is in the lead as lewis had a pit stop and is down to 6th, verstappen is down to 12th but leclerc is about to put himself.

 Lap 15 verstappen is back in 8th.

 Lap 21 lewis is back in the lead and Max is 6th but might be 5th by the next lap. Yup that's Max 5th now. 

Lap 27 lewis is in the pit so piastri is leading the race, verstappen is 3rd.

 Lap 29 max in pit again so he is 7th. 

Lap 31 Russell is leading the race. George has won the race lewis was so close to winning. 

A few hours after the race has finished George has been disqualified for his car being underweight this means lewis is the winner now. Lewis is also driver of the day anyway.

Tuesday July 16th

Rumors are that Esteban has signed with Haas to be teammates with Ollie bearman who signed with them the other week. This would mean Kevin magnussen would be out of a seat so I hope this isn't true.

Thursday 18th July 

Kevin magnussen is leaving Haas at the end of the year no news on where he is going.

Friday 19th July 

Both lewis Hamilton and Oscar piastri have talked about how great it is that Ralf Schumacher felt comfortable enough to come out in a sport that's not the most inclusive.

Saturday 20th July 

Qualifying 

Q1- before quali even starts it's been raining there for the past hour but it stopped a few minutes before quali started apparently it's going to start again soon.12 mins to go and there was a yellow flag for a second as Logan went off track for a bit but he got back on quickly. There is a bit of rain now with ten minutes to go.7 minutes to go and it's a red flag as Sergio Perez has had a bit of a bad crash into the wall he is all right though from the looks of it. Daniel is quickest overall and bottas goes tenth knocking George out and magnussen going 15th knocked out Perez. Both alpines are out as well.

Q2- nothing really happened.both Williams and both Haas cars along with Valtteri are out.

Q3- 2 mins to go and red flag,Yuki has had a bad crash. He is out and fine but he quite literally went flying for a second.

Race day

Apparently lando is having issues with the car before the race has even started and the engineers are trying to sort it Nico rosberg is back commentating thankfully I did not like that new guy.

Lap 1 Oscar is in the lead of the race. Max is throwing a hissy fit because he went off track in the first lap and gained an advantage and now is upset he was told to give the place back to Norris saying that pushing people off track is allowed now even though one he was not pushed off it was his own fault and two even if he had how many times has he broken rules and gotten away with it.

Lap 20 max is leading the race but he went in the pits so is now 5th and leclerc is leading. 

Lap 24 leclerc pits and piastri is back in the lead. 

Lap 34 Gasly is called in to retire the car suspected hydraulic leak. 

Lap 63 max causes a yellow flag for 2 seconds by going of track. Lando is arguing over the radio because the team aren't happy with him acting like a child and fighting with Oscar who is in second and Lando is in first the team are asking him to give Oscar the place, of course it's not the first time lando has done this all the times he did the same to Daniel when they were teammates. Now on lap 68 he has finally give Oscar the place back. He is such a fucking child honestly all he is proving is that he is really immature. Oscar piastri wins his first grand prix and lewis is third it's his 200th podium. Oscar is the driver of the day as he should.

After the race Oscar was apologizing for winning wtf he deserves this win and on the podium lando didn't even spray him with champagne he just walked right past Oscar. In the cool down room lando tried to start an argument with lewis but was quickly knocked down a peg or two by lewis. Also Nico rosberg was doing the post race interviews before the podium and apparently lewis winked at him but I didn't see anything.

Sunday July 14th 2024

 Ralf Schumacher has just come out as gay and has a partner, good for him glad he felt safe enough to come out,they seem really nice together. It's also such a good thing for other LGBT+ people whether they work in Motorsports or are fans like myself to see someone, an F1 race winner as a matter of fact to be out is such a great thing.

 In less happy news at the end of the indycar race today there was a really bad crash between multiple drivers that would have killed them if not for the halo on the cars all are fine but sting ray robb has been taken to hospital for overnight observation but he is awake and talking fine.

F1 British Grand Prix 2024

 British race week 

Quali 

Q1- 8 mins to go and Hulkenberg still hasn't left the garage. Red flag at 7:30 left because Sergio Perez spun off into the gravel and is stuck. That's it restarted after about ten minutes and Nico Hulkenberg is finally going out. 4 mins to go and Valtteri is fastest. Perez is out.

Q2- leclerc, Sargent and Ricciardo out.

Q3-three Brits are top three. Russell, Hamilton and Norris. Verstappen was 4th.

Race day July 7th

Brian may is on the grid. They released the first teaser for the Brad Pitt F1 movie at 2:30. Hanna waddingham is singing the national anthem.

Sergio starts from the pits.

Formation lap and Gasly in pit.

Lap two and Gasly is officially out of the race. 

Lap 4 and Logan is reporting that Alex Albon is missing a big bit of the bodywork of his car. Gaslys issues were with his gear box.

 Lap 18 and lewis takes the lead. Norris takes it on lap 20. It's raining off and on. 

Lap 28 and Zhou is in for a third pit stop. 

Lap 34 George Russell is out of the race. 

Lap 40 lewis is in the lead. Lewis wins the race. The first driver to win 9 times in one place. 17 years since his first win. His first win since Saudi 2021 come on lewis. He is my driver of the day.

Tuesday 25th June

Rumors are saying that Logan Sargent is going to indycar next year but he has just released an app and website with his  F1 race number and he talked about racing in Spain again next year.

Thursday 27th June 

Pierre Gasly continues with Alpine, he has signed a multi year contract.

Lance stroll continues with Aston Martin, he has signed a multi year contract.

Saturday 29th June

I missed practice and sprint quali yesterday because I was at work.

Sprint race 

Logan is starting 15th ahead of Alex for the first time.

The start was aborted and the drivers have to do another formation lap.

Nothing interesting really happened Max won but Oscar was in second ahead of lando so that's good.

Main race Qualifying 

Q1- both Williams and both sauber cars are out along with lance.

Q2-both Fernando and Daniel out.

Q3- leclerc went of track at the end but quickly got back on track. Max was of course fastest.

Sunday 30th June 

Race day

First lap incident between piastri and leclerc so Charles had to pit. Perez tried to push piastri lap 6.

 Lap 24 Fernando gets 10 second penalty for incident with Zhou. 

Lap 25 lewis gets a 5 second penalty.

 Lap 33 Perez gets penalty for speeding in the pit lane. 

Lap 64 both lando and Max crash into each other after fight Max down to 5th and Lando out of the race. 

Lap 66 virtual safety car out but that ends after one lap. Max gets 10 second penalty for going into lando.

George wins the race his first time on the podium in Austria, Oscar in second and Sainz in third. P6 for Nico Hulkenberg and P8 for Kevin magnussen one of the best scores for Haas. My driver of the day is Kevin magnussen but the actual driver of the day is lando yet again.

it's the 4th round of the endurance championship.

There are 14 different cars I am following.

I don't think Michael fassbender is competing this year I've not seen him on the list of drivers but I would have to double check.

Valentino Rossi is taking part I love him hopefully he does well. He is starting 12th with of course the number 46 car.

There are 16  ex F1 drivers taking part and 14 past LeMans winners.

Race time

23 hours and 48 minutes to go and I think one of the cars I'm supporting is out number 47 the commentators think it's either going to be a long repair or is out of the race.

Mark Webber is in the commentary box. He is joking about how he didn't end up in the gravel with his crash he flew right over it.

23hrs 23mins to go We've had some of the first pit stops.

23hrs 13mins and there is a yellow flag it's one of the united cars in the gravel. Slow zone called in sector one. It's Ben keating. Mark is leaving the box but he says he will be back. After 5 mins slow zone and yellow flag removed as the car is back on track.

All the cars are back on track so no retirements yet.

23 hrs 2mins and all three Ferrari hypercars have 10 second penaltys.

22hrs 32mins and Lotterer is now in his car and there is rain nearby the track according to the commentators but according to my weather app it's not supposed to rain in LeMans until three in the morning.

22hrs 29mins now engineers are saying over the radio that there will be rain in a couple of laps.

22hrs 20mins to go and the rain has started. And cars are going in for wet weather tires.

22hrs 13mins to go Robert kubica is leading the race.

22hrs 10mins to go double yellow flags two cars of track due to a small crash number 54 and another car

22hrs 8mins to go yellow flag done. Also the rain is going away.
21hrs 51 mins to go and number 54 has had an even worse crash so there is yellow flags again.

21hrs 37mins to go and  Robin (car number 20) has a really bad crash right into a barrier that is mostly concrete so he has to do a full lap to get back to the pit, thankfully he is fine. So there is still a yellow flag.

21hrs 31mins  to go yellow flag ends and Mick is in the car for his first stint.

21hrs to go and all cars are still running.

20hrs 35mins to go full course yellow I think it was Clem hopefully he can start again soon.

20hrs 33 mins to go green flags again.

20hrs 26mins to go full course yellow again the commentators are saying it could be to clear up all the gravel around the track.

20hrs 23mins to go green flag.

20hrs 14mins to go and Valentino Rossi is getting into his car and he is second in the LMGT3 category at the moment.

19hrs 45mins to go and only one car is out so far also Valentino is leading his category.
It's Romain grosjean's first time at Le Mans since 2010.

19hrs 15mins to go Ferdinand for Alpine has jumped out of his car at the side of the track as it suddenly started pouring smoke. It's unfortunate for him as it's his first race back after injury. Of course there is a yellow flag. I've just noticed his car has a pride flag on the top nice.

19hrs 2mins to go and  iron dames off track but she was quickly able to get the car running quickly. They just showed what happened and it was another car slamming into her. They should be penalized. The commentators recon it was a Porsche

18hrs 59mins yellow flag done.

18hrs 20mins to go and car number 55 its door flew open and wouldn't shut so came into the pit and they had to take the old door off and put a new one on and it took them a while.

18hrs 14min to go and number 9 iron lynxs has stopped on track and there is a yellow flag. Number 4 is in the garage but is just about to go back out I think.

17hrs 49 mins to go full course yellow it was car number 60.

17hrs 43mins to go green flag they are saying both alpines are out please be wrong.

17hrs 35 mins to go and Alpine have just posted on Instagram saying both cars are out due to mechanical issues, they were two of my favorites to win as well.

17hrs 24 mins to go yellow flag number 15 was touched by number 83 which has destroyed 15 front suspension after a big crash into the barriers thankfully he is ok.

17hrs 22 mins to go safety cars out one for each category. One of the McLarens is in the garage and smoke is pouring out of the hood.

16hrs 45mins to go still a safety car they were showing the iron dames garage and the walls are covered in notes of encouragement from all the women in the paddock it's so sweet.

16hrs 35 mins to go and there is a dog on the track hopefully it's caught before it gets hurt. The safety car is still out.

16hrs 25 mins to go and people are setting off fireworks and the dog is still out and about and the safety car is still out.

16hrs 12mins to go and 5 cars are out so far.

15hrs 51mins left and safety car ended the rain is pouring down.

15hrs 50 yellow flag for a second.

15hrs 36mins left and Robert kubica gets a 30 second penalty for causing the crash with number 15.

15hrs 32 mins to go and  car number 30 has pulled off to the side of the track as his car is on fire, there is a yellow flag of course.

15 hrs 15mins and Valentinos teammate has crashed the car so they are probably out. Which is sad because they were doing good.

15hrs 10mins yellow flag done.

15hrs to go and they have changed commentators and one of them is Scottish but the other two sound posh English.

14 hrs 55mins left and number 66 is stuck at the side of the track it just stopped working he is trying to get the car started again it's caused a yellow flag.

14hrs 37 mins left  yellow flag done.

14hrs 17mins to go  and that's vale officially out of the race.

14hrs 6mins yellow flag done.

13hrs 16mins to go and  cars 77 and 24 crash into each other 24 at fault yellow flag out.

13hrs 7mins to go and  yellow flag done.

12 hrs 54mins left of the race and yellow flag it's car 24 it just got back on track after the last incident lol this time was because of the rain.

12hrs 51mins to go and car 45 lost a wheel not long after leaving the pit lane.

12hrs 46mins to go and it's now a full course yellow.

12hrs 42mins green flag.

12hrs 15mins left and safety car is out due to rain and gravel on track probably.

It's currently just about 4:20 am in LeMans and all the mechanics are starting to fall asleep in the garages.

11hrs 41mins to go the safety car is still out.

11hrs 22mins left of the race and water is leaking into Romain grosjean's car. Safety car is still out.

10hrs 53mins to go and still a safety car, I'm pretty sure I just saw a pit mechanic with a false leg but I might be seeing things. I know I'm going to fall asleep at some point but I've got an alarm set for 11am LeMans time.

6hrs 6mins to go and  I fell asleep and have just woken up I'm pretty sure the last safety car ended at some point apparently it lasted at least 4 hours but there is another one now not sure when it started.

5hrs 45mins left and  number 3 is stopping and starting it's currently Scott Dixon in the car. He is now into the pit.they have pulled the car into the garage.

5hrs 32 mins to go and the number 3 car is leaking a lot of oil in the garage so that is probably due to what's wrong.

5hrs 27mins left and safety car ended.

5hrs 26mins to go and mark Webber is back in the commentary box yay.

5hrs 24mins to go yellow flag it's another Cadillac he is trying to slowly get back to the pit.

5hrs 5mins left and  yellow flag done.

4hrs 14mins to go and it's of course a yellow flag. It's now a full course yellow. Apparently it was a McLaren stopped on track.

4hrs 10min left and  full course yellow removed.

4hrs left to go of the race and smoke coming from car 83 in the pit lane. The pit crew are putting on rubber gloves so it's an electrical problem. Hopefully they can fix it I want Robert kubica to win the race.

3hrs 57mins left yellow flag.

3hrs 55mins left yellow flag done.

3hrs 4mins to go and  the number 83 AF Corse is officially out of the race I'm so sad for Robert kubica it would have been nice for him to win.

2hrs 46mins left and  cars 50 and 51 under investigation for technical infringement.

2hrs 10mins left and of course the rain has started again

1hr 59mins to go nearly done and the number 8 Toyota has spun, went from second to sixth but got back on track.

51mins to go and yellow flag but gone pretty quick.

33 mins left  yellow flag car on side of track.

28 mins left it's been upgraded to slow zone.

27 mins to go and back to a yellow flag.

25 mins green flag.

10 mins to go yellow flag but gone quickly.

Number 50 Ferrari wins
Clement comes second in his category.

46 cars finished the race out of 62.

F1 Spanish Grand Prix 2024

 Spain race week 

Tuesday 18th June

All everyone has been talking about the past like five days is the fact that the fia have made an exception to their rules so that kimi antonelli could drive the Mercedes for a free practice before he is eighteen even though Mercedes could have just waited a few months for his birthday. It's not fair to indycar drivers like Colton Herta and Alexander Rossi who were both denied a super license because of different fia rules that they refused to make changes to. I like kimi but he is definitely not ready for F1 he is not even doing that well in f2 (he is currently 6th I think) it's also his first year there and he never competed in f3 no hate at all towards him though. It's the FIA I don't like.

Red bull are trying to protest saying the other teams are using illegal car parts.they do this every time they are not winning everything.

Indycar drama, after dropping David malukas just as he was about healed from injury McLarens indycar team dropped Another driver after confirming them for the season and this time he might have found out at the same time as the announcement because Theo Pourchaire tweeted about being excited for the next race literally yesterday. Give this man a break honestly he wins f2, doesn't get an F1 seat gives up his super formula seat just to be dropped by McLaren and this isn't even the first time the McLaren indycar team have done this James hinchcliffe rejected other offers thinking he was getting an extension. Oliver askew was fired while recovering from a concussion. Rosenqvist was told to go to formula E.

Saturday qualifying 

Q1- leclerc currently p1. Logan Sargent impeads lance stroll. Hamilton goes quickest.daniel and Logan out. Lance just gets through to q2. Both vicarbs and Williams are out.

Q2- 4:30 to go and Max is of course in p1. Fernando and lance are out.

Q3- yellow flag for a second because of Oscar going off into the gravel. Lando on pole.

Race day

George takes the lead on the first corner. Max takes the lead on lap 3.

 Lap 15 magnussen 5 second penalty for false start.

 Lap 21 verstappen up to 3rd after dropping down a few place due to a pit stop. 

Lap 25 verstappen is first again.

 Lap 51 Yuki gets a penalty.

 Lap 52 lewis overtakes Russell for third, George is probably raging. And Max wins but lewis is third his first podium of the year and he is also my driver of the day.

F1 Canadian Grand Prix 2024

 Canada race week 

Monday June 3rd

Alpine have just announced that Ocon is out of the team at the end of the year. Wtf after all he has done for them and his loyalty to them even after they left everyone to send him hate and death threats after Monaco and they didn't say anything for ages.

Tuesday June 4th

Sergio Perez re- signed with red bull for two years.

Saturday qualifying 

The weather has been quite bad all weekend and it looks quite gloomy before q1 starts. The chance of rain is 80%. like  Five minutes before quali Vcarb announced that Yuki is going to be with them for another year.

Q1- not even a minute in and some drops of rain at a couple of corners.  Not much grip for any of the cars. Ten minutes to go and a yellow flag that only lasts a couple of seconds. Lance has hit the same bit of wall twice. Perez out at the last second. Logan is in q2.

Q2-  people in the grand stands have started to put on jackets and ponchos some the rain I think has properly started. Max complaining on the radio about how Russell must have blocked him on purpose he sounds like a toddler complaining about something. Trouble in the Williams garage problems with Alex Albons car during his pit stop. Six and a half minutes to go and the rain still hasn't hit. Both Ferraris are out.

Q3- it's now sunny it seems the weather there is like our weather at the moment.

George on pole beating Max thank goodness even though I'm not Georges biggest fan it's good to see someone other than Max doing well.

Race day

12:15 pm rumors are saying that Ollie bearman has signed for Haas for next year.

30 minutes till race start I think that fucking Jacque Villeneuve (I think that is how you spell the name)is in the commentary box I really don't like him, don't know why I just get bad vibes from him.

4 mins to race start and it's supposed to rain so that might make things more interesting.

There is lots of standing water 

Race has started and you can barely see the cars on track because of the spray from the water. 

Lap two and magnussen is up 8 places to 6th. Nevermind he's now 5th. 

Lap 4 and both Haas cars are flying magnussen 4th and Hulkenberg 8th. 

Lap 5 and Ferrari are saying over the radio to Charles that there is something up with his engine but he needs to keep pushing.

 Lap 6 and Sargent was in the wall but he was able to get back on track quite quickly. 

Lap 8 magnussen pits and comes out 13th.

Lap 21 and Norris has overtaken verstappen for second. End of lap 21 Norris overtook Russell for first then verstappen overtakes Russell for second so now George is third.

 Lap 25 Logan unfortunately in the barriers again and this time it takes him out of the race and it's caused a safety car. A lot of the cars have gone into the pit. Logan's car is in the middle of the track they should red flag this he is just sitting there.

 Lap 27 verstappen is 1st. 

Lap 31 leclerc is 19th he is not last due to Logan being out of the race.

 Lap 43 Charles is retiring From the race due to the power unit issue. 

Lap 46 Norris in first. 

Lap 48 Verstappen is back in first. 

Lap 53 Perez in the pits due to a damaged rear wing after going into the wall after going to deep into the corner.Ten seconds later Sainz went into albon , Sainz spun into the grass but got back on track but Albon went into the wall. So all three of them are out. This means both Williams and both Ferrari cars and Perez are all the cars out currently by lap 56. 

Lap 67 spun onto the grass and nearly brushed the barriers but was fine and continues on but dropped many places. Lance was my driver of the day.

Indycar Indianapolis 500

 It's been delayed for quite awhile due to lightning storms at the track. 

Lap one and three cars are already out it's fittipaldi, Ericsson and bloomqvist. It looked bad but I'm pretty sure everyone is alright. It was a similar crash to what Marcus.E. had on Thursday in practice. 

Something is wrong with Marcus Armstrongs car he is in the pit. That is Armstrong out of the race his car lost power. That's four drivers out before one racing lap is even completed though there has technically been 9 laps. 

Restart is under review. Smoke coming out the back of Katherines car it looks the same as Marcus's car. It seems she is out of the race. That makes it 5 drivers out of the race. 

Lap 28 Linus went into the wall the caution is out and so is he. 

 Six drivers out. 

Felix is having the same issues as Katherine and Marcus. He has had to pull to the side of the track. All three of these cars have Honda engines so clearly the issue is with them. That is 7 drivers out now. 

Lap 86 Colton Herta crashes he's ok though. It's sounds like it locked up weird. He rejoined the race though. I stopped watching on lap 106 I fell asleep. Happy that Josef won but heartbroken for pato he was so close to winning.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2024

 Monaco race week 

Friday 24th may 

All week Charles and Oscar have been joking about Charles adopting him so f1 went along with that and during both practices Oscars name on the timing sheet and on all the screens was Oscar piastri-leclerc.

Qualifying day

Q1- everyone lines up in the pits a bit early before the beginning of quali. Stewards will be investigating Albon after qualifying for impeding Sainz. Fernando out along with Perez.

Q2- Hulkenberg impeding ocon investigated after session.

Q3- verstappen third until an minute left of quali when Russell pushes him down to fourth. Charles leclerc on pole in Monaco. Oscar piastri is second. Verstappen is starting the race tomorrow in 6th place.

Both Haas cars have failed their technical checks post qualifying. LHS and RHS were exceeding the allowed 85mm this usually results in disqualification from qualifying meaning both cars start at the back of the grid. It has been referred to the stewards.

Race day - Mika hakkinen is on the grid and was talking about how good the McLaren tribute livery to senna looks.

Start of lap one Carlos might be out due to a front left puncture. 

He's not.

Race is red flagged due to a crash between both Haas cars and Sergio Perez at beau rivage. Sergios car looks really bad but I'm pretty sure he is alright. There hasn't really been a crash that looks that bad in a while. This all happened in the first lap. The commentators are saying Kevin is at fault but I think Perez is at fault he pushed Kevin towards the wall then caught his own car on Kevin's front left wheel. They are showing replays of the other cars and ocon went into Gasly at the entrance to the tunnel.

 It's a standing start that 3:45 local time. Out of the race is Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg, Kevin magnussen and Esteban ocon. Because of the red flag the cars don't have to pit if they don't want to I think. 

Charles new race engineer is really cute and funny they were jokingly arguing(I think) with each other on the radio.

 Lap 50 lances tyre just flew off as he was going into the pit it was the left rear tyre. 

Charles is my driver of the day as he has been doing so well in his home race. 

Charles leclerc wins the Monaco grand prix his home race for the first time in his career.

Lewis gets fastest lap. On the podium the prince of Monaco was close to tears in happiness about his driver and Prince Albert joined in with spraying the champagne.

Wednesday 15th may 

Alex Albon signed a multi year contract with Williams.

Thursday 16th may

Sebastian vettel planned a whole tribute today and for the weekend. All of F1,f2 and f3 went on a run around the track for ayrton and Roland and had a little ceremony at the statue of Ayrton with the Brazilian and Austrian flags displayed. 

Also the MotoGP team Ducati have a tribute livery in the colors of Ayrton senna's helmet to honor him this weekend. It is really nice that even another sport is doing something for him . Sebastian is supposed to be driving one of Senna's McLaren cars around imola this weekend so I can't wait to see that.

Qualifying 

Q1- 12 mins to go and albon sliding off for a second. 8 minutes to go there was a yellow flag but it was literally just for a few seconds. 6 and a half minutes Logan in the gravel for a second. Ten seconds later Fernando does the same they both get back on track immediately though.

Alonso last place.

Q2- nothing all that interesting happened except Yuki in third and Perez in 11th being knocked out by Daniel 

Q3- nothing 

Race day- today before the race Sebastian vettel raced around Ayrton senna's last race winning car for a few laps as he was going around he brought out both the Brazilian flag and the Austrian flag for Ayrton and Roland. After he got out the car he put both flags on the car and bowed down to it. In the interview after he said he was getting emotional in the car and that he was shouting their names when driving. 

Lap ten Alex is just out of the pit but he's going slow apparently a tire isn't on properly. He went into the pit and it was quickly sorted. 

RB pit both cars in lap 13 which is strangely early. Albon gets 10 second penalty for the tire not being on properly.

 Lap 25 verstappen pits and ends up 4th. Hamilton into the gravel for a second. 

Lap 55 Alex Albon retired from the race. Race control noted an incident between Zhou and ocon.

F1 Miami Grand Prix 2024

 Miami race week

Wednesday may 1st 

Adrian newy is officially leaving Red Bull at the beginning of 2025. Today is the 30 year anniversary of Ayrton senna's death all the posts about it have been really nice, Alain Prost's insta post was sweet but sad.

Sprint race - Norris out lap one, safety car is out. Both Astons are having issues because of the incident. Lewis went into Fernando who went into Lance who went into lando. Lance is out as well. Fernando has pitted and rejoined the race. Daniel up to p3. Magnussen and Hamilton having a proper little fight for 8th place. Daniel who is in forth has been defending against sainz for most of the sprint. Magnussen gets the black and white flag one more and he gets a penalty. And Daniel gets 4th yes.

Race quali 

Q1- Zhou under investigation for failing to follow race directors instruction. Claire Williams is in the Williams garage. Daniel will unfortunately be starting last due to some penalties.

Q2- lando goes flying for a quick second but nothing happened. Albon goes of track for a minute but quickly back on track. Lando Norris gets lap time deleted.

Q3- I didn't watch as my favorites were all pretty much out.

Race day- Perez almost went into verstappen at the first corner on the first lap. Sergio Perez noted for a false start. No further investigation for it though.

 Lap 15 Danny up to 14th. Verstappen hits a bollard and its in the middle of the track now. Virtual safety car it only lasts like a lap. Logan and Kevin in the wall in sector one 

lap 28 it causes a full safety car. Poor Logan at his home race. It's Kevin that went into the side of Logan. Kevin gets ten second penalty. 

Safety car in lap 32. Sargent is officially out of the race but magnussen continues. Norris has been leading the race for a bit maybe he could get his first win. Max is having some issues. Kevin noted for serving his penalty incorrectly. Piastri has front wing damage. 

Lap 51 a little battle between piastri and Ricciardo. Lando Norris just won his first race.

F1 Chinese Grand Prix 2024

 It's the first sprint race of the year.

I don't remember if it was during practice or sprint quali as I couldn't watch either due to work but part of the track caught fire. Nico Rosberg is back commentating, he is one of my favorite.

Race- it's Zhou guanyu first home race. Aston Martin mechanics are doing last minute work on the floor of Fernandos car. 

Logan Sargent starting from the pit lane. Lap one Fernando up to second. A couple of drivers noted for forcing another driver off the track. 

Lap 8 and Alonso is down to 4th. 

Lap ten many drivers into the pits. Gasly had a bad pit stop. Nothing comes of the drivers pushing others off the track. 

Lap 21 off goes Valtteri engine gone at turn 11 it's yellow flags. Virtual safety car lap 22. Lap 23 full safety car is out so both red bulls are going into the pits along with Fernando alonso. Lap 26 safety car ending. 

Lap 27 Yuki is out of the race he has went off track and Kevin magnussen has a puncture due to them going into each other im pretty sure magnussen was at fault there. Lance stroll went into the back of Daniel Ricciardo just at the restart. Lance was able to rejoin after being in the pits for quite a while. Magnussen was also able to rejoin. Daniel Ricciardo is saying he has floor damage due to that incident. 

Lap 33 Sargent 10 second time penalty and so does stroll and magnussen. And lap 34 Daniel is out of the race his car is too damaged. My driver of the day is lewis. lap 51 slight incident between gasly and Sargent. Max of course won.

F1 Japan 2024 race week

 Sebastian vettel done an interview and he talked about how it would be nice to be back in F1 given the right offer and a bunch of other things. Williams have said that they are going to give Logan the repaired chassis that Alex Albon broke and Alex is keeping Logan's car. I'm really starting to not like Williams though no hate to Alex. Charles has a tribute helmet for Jules, it's really nice.

Free practice 1 - Logan Sargent in the barrier it looked bad but thankfully he's ok. Nico Hulkenberg shown black and white flag when he was overtaking someone and went over the line for the pit lane. Many teams have brought updates. 

Free practice 2- it was pouring rain. Most team didn't want to go out. Logan was sitting out because of damage to his car . Everyone trying different tyre types. Only seven drivers got lap times on the time sheet because of the rain . So top three were piastri, Hamilton and leclerc.

Free practice 3 - both red bulls have slight issues in the beginning. Of course Max was fastest. Both Astons running upgrades. Daniel Ricciardo spun out on to the grass. Hulkenberg locked up and magnussen went into the gravel. 

Qualifying - 

 Q1 -unsafe release by George almost went into Oscar piastri and lance knocked out at the last second.

Q2- just over five minutes left and something is up with Carlos Sainz brakes. Hulkenberg went over track limits and got his time deleted

Q3- red bull front row for the first time ever at sazuka.

Race - it's 5 : 42 am and I am exhausted I have a feeling that I might fall asleep during the race. The Japanese national anthem is really nice. According to the commentators it's one of the oldest national anthems in the world. I really hope Charles, Fernando and Yuki do well.

It's the hottest it's been all weekend. Lap 1 two cars out. It's red flagged. It's Albon and Daniel Ricciardo. Both drivers are ok. It was just a brief touch that caused the crash neither were at fault it was a racing incident. The order they will restart is where they were after sector one. It will restart at 6:32 am my time. They will be restarting on the grid. I am so tired why am I doing this to myself. The alpines have a little touch at the restart but everything is ok and they are still driving. Lap 13 lewis is asking if he should let George passed.they swapped.

Lap 14 Zhou is out due to something up with his car. Lap 43 yellow flag Sargent went off in sector two but him and the car are fine. Lap 46 Carlos overtakes leclerc for third. Lap 50 bit of a fight between Russell and piastri. George overtakes Oscar on the final lap. Yuki ends with points at his home race. I wish Charles could have been on the podium but well done to Carlos. Charles is voted driver of the day and he is also my driver of the day.

IndyCar Firestone Grand Prix of St.Petersburg, Florida

 Qualifying - I think quali is split into two groups. it’s really windy. 13 drivers in the first group only 6 move forward. They use Firestone tyres unlike f1 who use Pirelli tyres. Pato 3rd , Marcus 2nd. Alex palou does not advance. Marcus Ericsson first. The 6 from each group become the Firestone fast 12.

Group two are now on track. In this group Dixon, Grosjean , Rosenqvist and Fittipaldi. Grosjean was 2nd , rosenqvist 3rd and Dixon 5th.

Q2 aka fast 12 which turns into the fast 6. The fast 6 is Q3. Gro 5th, ros 1st, pato 6th so a few of my favourites through to the fast 6. Colton Herta gets track record but was overtaken by Felix.

Q3 aka Fast 6. 4 of the 6 are drivers I like but pato and felix are my absolute favourites. 4 mins 30 seconds left and Romain was faster. 3 mins 35 seconds left and Rosenqvist fastest. 1 minute 15 seconds left and pato is fastest. As time runs out Newgarden and Rosenqvist overtake pato so he qualified 3rd.

Can only watch the first hour because motogp is on. Never mind I will just watch motogp highlights later and I will watch all of IndyCar. Christian Rasmussen stuck in pit, his car won’t start. Rasmussen is back up and running. Lundgaard has a puncture on back tyre on lap one. Lap 25 nothing interesting happening so far. Lap 27 Marcus Armstrong in the fence. Part of an advert banner that was on the barrier got tangled around his back right tyre. Pato into 3rd on lap 33. Sting ray robb out lap 35 or 36. Don’t know what happened to him. Lap 37 pato p2. Lap 54 Ericsson has some issues and is stuck in the pits. Lap 69 Linus Lundqvist in the barrier in the same place as Armstrong. They are teammates as well. He’s made it to the pits though. Ericsson is officially out of the race on lap 72. Otmar the ex- alpine team principal is at the race. 14 laps to go I think something happened with romains car. He is out of the race.

The top three are josef Newgarden, pato o’ward and Scott McLaughlin 

F1 Australia race week

Practice one- it's half one in the morning . Carlos is back in the car. Fernando into the gravel a little but no issues gets straight back on track. Valtteri has a spin right after George had a slide in the same place. Alex Albon in the wall with damage to his car but he's fine it has caused a red flag.

Practice two- didn't watch it live because it was at 5 in the morning.more cars sliding of track during it. It was announced after second practice the Alex Albon would be using Logan's car as his was unable to be fixed and they didn't have a spare chassis with them this isn't fair to Logan it's not his fault Alex crashed.

It was also announced by WEC after second practice that Sebastian vettel would be doing a test drive of the Porsche 963 hypercar. Porsche Penske Motorsport announced this morning that the former F1 world champion will be testing the car as part of team preparations for the 24hrs of Le mans. The 36 hour test will take place in Spain.

Practice three- it's again half one one the morning I hate these races that are in the middle of the night for me. 31 minutes to go nothing happening. I fell asleep and missed the rest of practice and all of quali so my notes will be from you tube highlights videos. Red bull struggling a little.Lewis still having issues with that car.

Qualifying -end of Q1 Daniel's lap time deleted.Hamilton out in q2.q3 and alonso in the gravel for a second.perez demoted after quali. It was announced that Sergio Perez was given a three place grid penalty for impeding nico Hulkenberg so Perez will start p6

Race-no incident on the first corner for once.carlos takes lead lap two.maxs is having issues with the car. Maxes car is smoking quite a bit. Lap 5 max into the pit right rear brake is on fire max is out of the race yes.lap 17 Hamilton has engine failure bringing out a virtual safety car.lap 29 piastri told to swap places with lando which is shit for his home race.lap 58 George crashes into the wall causing a virtual safety car he is thankfully fine the car is on its side there should be a red flag but there's not. ITS A FERRARI ONE TWO CARLOS WINS THE RACE just two weeks after getting his appendix removed. After the race Fernando has been demoted to p8 after being given a twenty second penalty for the final lap incident involving George Russell, he has also been given three penalty points it's not fair in my opinion he was not even near George hopefully Aston appeal this. My driver of the day is Logan because he gave up his car without complaining the actual drive of the day is of course Carlos deservedly.

F1 Saudi Arabia race week

 Rumors are that Max is going to Mercedes, Adrian newy to Ferrari, jos verstappen wants horner out of red bull and so do the main bosses but Christian refuses to leave. Apparently the president of the FIA after the race in Bahrain tried to get Max verstappen to back up Horner but he refused. That same president is under investigation for interfering with race results in the 2023 season.

Practice one- about halfway through and nothing interesting is happening. Ten minutes to go and there are loads of plastic bags on track getting stuck in cars.

Practice two- Delayed start possibly loose drain covers in pit lane but no official explanation. It's was quite windy in practice one and hot but practice two is the opposite. Carlos is very sick but still driving. Ten minutes in and Fernando is fastest. Lewis almost caused a crash with Logan Sargent as lewis was in the middle of the track instead of being to the side.Lewis said that he was trying to avoid Carlos and didn't see Logan. alonso in first again at 34 minutes left. Russell and tsunoda almost go into each other. Fernando first in practice two.

Before practice three it's been announced that Carlos Sainz will not be racing anymore this weekend as he has appendicitis and is going to get surgery Oliver bearman will replace him this weekend.

Practice three - Oliver is doing quite well 15 minutes into practice 3 and he set the fastest lap. 28 Celsius and 24km/h winds

Sargent brushed the wall a little at one point. Zhou has bad crash and causes red flag with 15 minutes to go but he is fine thankfully from the looks of it. red flag ends with about 5 minutes left of practice.

Qualifying - George shown black and white flag in Q1. Zhou finally out on track with 1:50 seconds left of Q1 but it wasn't enough time to get around the track to set a time.

 Oliver under investigation for failing to listen to race director's instructions. 

Q2- Yellow flags Hulkenberg off to the side he lost power in his car suddenly. It's now a red flag. It's restarting quite quickly.

Q3- alonso fourth, leclerc second

Race - during formation lap gasly says he has a gear box problem. Gasly called into pit to retire the car lap one. Lap 6 or 7 Lance crashes into the barrier, big impact he was going 140 mph thankfully he's ok. Safety car called out. Perez almost went into Fernando in the pit. Safety car in lap 9. Sergio Perez five second time penalty for the unsafe release. Magnussen 10 second time penalty for causing collision with Alex Albon. He also got another 10 second for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. Oliver bearman my driver of the day. Lap 41 Norris gets black and white flag for weaving on the straight. Oliver bearman is 7th in his first race and is driver of the day.

F1 Bahrain 2024 race week

Daniel Ricciardo first in free practice one.

It's really windy and colder that usual. crofty keeps saying random facts like the different types of birds in Bahrain.

20 minutes into practice 3 lance was fastest. 25 minutes left in practice 3 and Christian Horner was called into a meeting with the president of the FIA and the boss of F1.

During qualifying it's really windy again and temperatures dropped again. lance was second in Q1. Russell has to go to stewards after qualifying due to not following race director's instructions. Leclerc fastest in Q2. 

Race day - yet again it's windy and the temperature is 18.2 c .Gunther is on sky sports.lance slides out a little on the first corner.lap ten Logan Sargent when off causing the second yellow flags. Charles leclerc keeps locking up.lap 20 Daniel locks up but is fine.

Lap 26 lewis says his seat is broken.

On lap thirty something Bottas was stuck in the pits for quite awhile due to issues with a wheel nut.lap 52 and Vcarb want Yuki to give up a place to Daniel.Max won by 22 seconds. Carlos driver of the day. Yuki eventually gave up the place but after during the cool down lap he nearly crashed into Daniel.

it's going to be all about motorsports from Formula one to indycar. I have been an F1 fan since I was a little kid.this is my first year watching indycar.Keep in mind this will mostly be my personal opinion on everything but actual information will also be here.
